This entry is pretty self-explanatory. As you are working on speech strategies, it's good to check for understanding because if they are not able to tell you what they learning, how to use it, and if it does/does not work for them, it's not going to be functional or useful for them outside of the speech room.
I personally like to send them on their way with their entries, so they have some time to reflect later ... and remember to carry those strategies over outside of the classroom. Most of my fluency students are really awesome at returning the work (maybe incentives help?) and it saves some time as we work together in the group.
