Last week, we discussed Paul Roger's "What Will the Weather Be Like Today?"
We categorized things we can do in different kids of weather/seasons.
Spring: Shamrock, Easter Egg, Flowers, Rain
Summer: Fishing, Camping, Playing Outside, Vacation
Fall: Jackolantern, Trick-or-treaters, Thanksgiving, Apples
Winter: Skiing, sleigh rides, sledding, making snow angels, and snowmen.
The kids had a lot of fun guessing when each activity takes place. I kind of intermixed weather and seasons and months because a lot of my kids really have no concept of any of those things (especially considering we barely have two seasons here).
Attached below is a copy of my language at home handout for your downloadable pleasure. Please leave a comment as you pass through!
What do you do to target weather, seasons, and months of the year?
PS This wasn't as articulate as I wanted it to be, but I am on break and wanted to get this out before I zoned out again!
Have a great Thanksgiving!
